This is one of the smallest projects we have worked on but also one of our favourites.

The existing property is a small Victorian terraced house which had previously been divided into two separate two-bedroom apartments.

The ground floor flat was poorly designed with a small lean-to kitchenette and very little outlook to the garden from a poorly lit rear living room. We have transformed the space into a modern and bright open plan family room.

The heights and massing of the new proposals are constrained to respond sensitively to the site and to avoid impact on the adjoining properties. The new extension is limited in size and understated in design. The main elements are a full height modern sliding and folding glass doors with a lightweight metal roof and exposed steel edge profile.
