The property is a three storey Mews House in a Paddington conservation area. The original layout was served by a spiral stair to the front of the house. The main rooms were poorly lit due to the house being partially landlocked at the rear.

The new works comprise of stripping out and reconstruction of all floors and walls except for the external walls. The roof was also replaced with a larger mansard and dormers. The main element of the new design is the glass stair to the rear of the property which is top lit by a large sliding glass lantern and enclosed by full height glass partitions. The stair therefore provides much needed natural light and ventilation to all levels. http://diapo.co.uk
