“JK Ltd redesigned the back half of the house, as well as a loft conversion and numerous smaller changes in the layout of the house. Some very informative and easily understandable computer-generated isometric drawings formed the basis of our decisions. JK Ltd came up with many interesting options and was good at both the overall design as well as details. We developed an excellent working relationship with JK Ltd and at every stage of the project options were clearly laid out. JK Ltd also project managed the building work and provided weekly updates on all costs against the original estimate. This meant a very careful control was kept over costs. JK Ltd had an exemplary relationship with the builders which ensured that there was harmony throughout the project. JK Ltd ensured that an extremely high standard of workmanship was maintained throughout the project and snagging was promptly dealt with. The project ran pretty much to schedule finishing only a couple of weeks late due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.”

“My wife and I bought a house in Barnes that needed a complete renovation and full side/rear extension. The added complication was that we live in Hong Kong and would be managing the project remotely. John was referred to me by a close friend who is in the property business, and I am so pleased we decided to go with him. JK Architects redesigned half of the ground floor area of the house to give me a large kitchen/dining extension overlooking the garden. John worked closely with me initially taking care to listen to what I wanted which was not to over modernize my 1950’s house and to keep its original character. He produced 6 interesting computer-generated options for the kitchen layout with and without an extension. The designs influenced my decision to extend and then he took invaluable time getting right the details of the internal and external doors whilst keeping control of the budget. John managed the project from start to finish. He chose a good, reliable construction team and visited the site regularly. He highlighted improvements during each stage of construction and most importantly made sure I had no anxiety over the budget and the quality of the work. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.

“I instructed JK Ltd as the firm to design my new extension, kitchens and the gardens. I had multiple rounds of preliminary discussions and meetings with the lead architect, John Karayiannis of the firm. John is very professional in delivering the plans for me to consider. Clearly he is very knowledgeable. He first produced the preliminary plan to ensure that I was comfortable with the proposal.

The preliminary plan formed the basis for him to provide a more detailed plan before we instructed contractors to provide the quotes. John essentially acted as the project manager to coordinate the site survey by structural engineers, approval by Council and engagement with a local firm of builders and the kitchen supplier. He is transparent about his fees. He provided good ideas for me to consider.
